Tom Lewis cofounded Lewis & lewis,inc. in 1991 with his wife, Rhoda Lewis, to provide high end computer networking services and custom software development to businesses in southeast Michigan. Lewis & Lewis grew to 12 employees and over 200 clients by 1998 . Lewis & Lewis, Inc. acquired internet service provider Netgroup in 1998 adding internet connectivity to their suite of services and changing the company name to LEWIS Information Group (Lewis IG).
In 1999 Tom created Iwerk.com, separating software development from LEWIS Information Group's technical services and giving the company's software developers a place to focus on high end database and web-based software. Iwerk.com flourished and grew from 4 developers in 1999 to 15 in 2002. In 2004 an investment from Cranbrook Partners gave Rhoda Lewis an opportunity to retire and Tom an opportunity to work with two new partners, Paul Tucci and Zachary Savas.
In addition to managing LEWIS Information Group and Iwerk Tom spearheaded iwerk.com software deployments in Italy and Greece and currently is leading the company's Microsoft Sharepoint, CRM and MCMS integration efforts.
Tom is passionate about technology and customer service and has an opinion about just about anything technical (just ask).
